Closing
We Clap Our Hands Like This - tune farmer in the dell
Borrowed from Opening/Closing Songs on Storytime Katie who borrowed it from Rhymes for Toddlers on Sunflower Storytime.

We clap our hands like this
We clap out hands like this
We clap our hands with all of our friends
We clap our hands like this.

We blow a kiss like this
We blow a kiss like this
We blow a kiss with all of our friends
We blow a kiss like this.

We wave goodbye like this.
We wave goodbye like this.
We wave goodbye with all our friends.
We wave goodbye like this.

Filmstrip of Don Freeman's A Rainbow of My Own.

Parachute
The parachute makes my kids really wild,;there is a lot of shrieking and shaking, but not a lot of listening.  I don't play any music like I do with my older kids.  Today we did opposites like Up/Down, Fast/Slow, Loud/Soft.  Then we put all the scarves in the parachute, shook them out and repeated over and over.  At the end we sat on the floor, raised the chute over our heads and waved goodbye to everyone followed by us staying seated to sing the goodbye song listed above. I really liked doing the chute at the end of the program and I think if I don't over plan we can definitely do this again.
